Galina Markovich, a certified Adult Nurse Practitioner, co-founded Millennium Memory Care (MMC) in 2014. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Long Island University (LIU) in 1996. As a registered nurse, she worked in hospitals, assisted living facilities, and in the areas of urgent care and home care. In 2004 she received her master’s degree from New York University (NYU) and was certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP). As an ANP she had opportunities to work in various settings such as nursing homes, urgent care, and home care where she acquired a wealth of experience managing and treating behavioral dementia cases.  

Shortly thereafter, she co-founded MMC and has applied her experience from over 20 years in behavioral geriatric nursing to building a successful model of behavioral dementia care.

Galina is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner and provides counseling and support groups for caregivers of those suffering from behavioral dementia. She enjoys working collaboratively with caregivers to help them offer the best care possible for their loved ones or patients.

Outside of work she values family time, fitness, conducting educational seminars and traveling the world.
